We are very sad to advise of the passing of NCRRA member, Karyline Wathier. As a young shooter, Kary managed to accomplish so much in her 29 years. She first represented Canada as a member of the Royal Canadian Army Cadet team to Bisley England and she remained quite involved with the cadet movement as a coach and instructor. In 2015, Kary was a member of the U25 Canadian Rifle Team to the Long Range World Championships in Camp Perry, Ohio. The following year saw her travel a...s a member of the U25 Dominion of Canada Rifle Association goodwill team to South Africa. Most recently, Kary was a member of the 2019 Canadian Palma Team to the LRWC in New Zealand. Kary was a positive light and an asset to our sport and her smile and laughter will be missed. She put up a courageous fight and our thoughts are with her family at this time. A funeral for Kary is being planned but is restricted to immediate family due to the pandemic.

Whether you want to make the Canadian Rifle Team to the 2023 LRWC in South Africa or whether you just want to improve your shooting skills, responding to the call of interest when it comes will let you follow the training plan and raise your personal level of shooting competency and the self satisfaction that comes with it.

This is a tough weekend for us! Normally we'd be welcoming fellow shooters from all across Eastern Canada, the Northern US, and even the Caribbean for our annual Victoria Day Matches, and the Don Moore Memorial Pistol match. We hope you are all well, and enjoying this extra time with your families. We're very much looking forward to welcoming you back to Connaught sometime soon, but in the meantime stay safe!
