**BREAKING NEWS** AMENDMENTS TO THE CO-OP ACT We are thrilled that our concerns and those of our members have been heard and now address by the Province! The changes to the Co-operative Act to allow co-operatives in the province to host their AGMs and other meetings virtually is a phenomenal and much needed step forward for our sector. ... This weekend we held our annual general meeting in beautiful Gander, Newfoundland and though it looked and felt a bit different than previous AGMs it was lovely to see our board of directors, members, and delegates face to face. It’s been one heck of a year for all of us, locally and globally, personally and professionally, and living through a global pandemic has certainly been trying in all respects. Through it all we have been inspired by the stories of cooperation happe...ning across the world, and have been delighted to see the co-operative business model thrive during such difficult times. Thank-you to everyone who attended our AGM, be it in personal or virtually; we’re already counting the days until we get to see you all again. A special thank you to Steele Hotels for making their Albatross Hotel property in Gander available to us for the weekend
