So great to have Lindsay Cameron Wilson in our kitchen again! She stopped by to bring us a copy of her cookbook, Food + Reflection, and a donation from her cookbook sales. A big thank you to her and her fans for their generosity. We'll pour all that love into our take-out meals.
Alice on the Go is a six week distance program for women, offered through a partnership with Alice House. Program topics include healthy relationships, building assertiveness skills and creating healthy boundaries. Much of the program will be done at home, at your own pace. Facilitators will provide weekly check- in support and the group will meet twice online during the program. If you are interested or would like more information, email Natasha at [email protected] or send us a direct message!
It’s Pancake Day! Whether you have them for breakfast, lunch or supper we’d love to hear how you top your pancakes. Don’t have a recipe? Enjoy this one from Nourish Nova Scotia.
The Community Farm's journey for this year has begun with our first delivery of seeds! Check out this video where Community Farm Coordinator, Katherine, un-boxes the seeds and shows us how our carrots and beans start out. We can't wait to watch these tiny dry things turn into delicious veggies. A big thank you to Dalhousie Urban Garden and The Hartman Matthews Family Trust for their support of our Community Farm!
We are expecting freezing rain tomorrow, so Meal Pick-up is postponed to Wednesday 10am - noon. Walking Group is also cancelled due to the weather. Stay safe on the sidewalk folks!

Today we had our annual garlic plant! Luckily we had some great help (note the "Farmer-in-Training" buttons!) We also found earthworms and salamanders while we were playing in the dirt. In total we planted 720 cloves, which will grow over the winter and we'll harvest it in the summer. #communityfarm #wegrowtogether
