Understanding the Immigration System in Canada Canada is a country that continues to need newcomers and immigrants in order to thrive, grow and remain an inclusive place. The need to build on immigration is crucial to strengthen the Canadian workforce as Canada’s aging population increases and birth rates continue to decline.
Purpose at Work - A Webinar Series with P4G Join Bradley and Matt from Placemaking 4G for a Webinar Journey to kick off 2021 right! Featuring an amazing lineup of presenters, sessions are designed to provide insight, inspiration, levity and perspective. Webinars will occur weekly and be an hour in length, PLUS (new this year) an additional 20 bonus minutes with the hosts and presenters for Q&A for those interested in exploring the content in more detail.

The NSCDA has partnered with Labour and Advanced Education, Adult Education on the design and delivery of a Transferable Skills Portfolio. This project involves the development of a 5-session portfolio development program designed to help job seekers identify and provide evidence of transferable skills. The NSCDA partnered with Futureworx, a recognized leader in developing employability skills through the use of ESAT (Employability Skills Assessment Tool) to develop and deliver the two pilot projects, one in the summer of 2018 and one in the summer of 2019. The approach with students (and employers) was designed to promote learner self-awareness about their employability skills and help them alter behaviours that are problematic in the workplace.
