Ok. Here it goes. Long, bittersweet announcement coming at you. We’re all familiar with the term pivot right? We certainly embraced the concept and took this as a challenge to grow as a business and as a partnership. What we realized though was that we didn’t need to pivot, we needed to completely detach from our current plan and transform in a way that supports and drives our long-term goals as a business. COVID-19 took us by the collar and yelled What are you doing?! An...d we heard it. We have officially decided to focus our Paperback efforts solely on our marketing and consulting services and move away from the world of events. We have both worked in the Event Planning industry for a combined 21 years and while we are happy share that expertise and experience in a consulting capacity, we will no longer be working on the planning and execution of events. We both have a passion to help small businesses with creative and strategic plans to grow and by focusing strictly on this passion, we are able to serve our clients and community best. We will of course honour our existing wedding and event clients and execute each of their events when it is safe to do so but as of today we are not taking on any new event clients. Um, aren’t you guys called Paperback Events though? Yes, and while it feels like we’re losing a piece of our identity, we’re very happy to announce that we are now officially going by the Paperback Girls, Storytellers and Marketers. Since the very beginning of our business, we have emphasized storytelling as an important tool, hence our name Paperback, And, so many of you already refer to us as the Paperback Girls, it seems more than fitting to move forward with this title. Ok, big announcement number 2. We have also made the hard but right decision to close the Paperback Creative Boutique. Nothing made us happier than to provide a collaborative and creative space for the local community but it no longer fits into our larger goals as a business and doesn’t serve our goal of providing the best service to our marketing clients. We will miss being part of the vibrant downtown community and we will certainly miss seeing some of your lovely faces every day. We are excited to grow our marketing services, to offer new and more comprehensive packages for our clients, and to work with new clients across the country. And for now, we’re excited to have the freedom to serve our clients from anywhere, currently from a safe distance apart, cocktail in hand, in Katie’s backyard. Cheers to new beginnings, cheers to pivoting HARD, and cheers to following your passion. The Paperback Girls

Dear couples, We see you. We hear you. We feel for you. But one of our couples told us a story recently that we hope will give you a sense of positivity and warmth. They said, grandma and grandpa got married by a custodian and a minister. They were married for 63 years. So what will be will be. Your love will conquer and defy all odds, regardless of what state we’re in. ... We’re here to help you navigate this unsettling landscape we’re in. Hang in there
