Brandon grew up cooking with his mom in the family kitchen, where she always cooked traditional Vietnamese food from her grandmother's recipes. At the age of 12, he knew for certain that his dream was to be a chef. He now has 2 successful businesses, The Phamily Table, a Vietnamese inspired sauce company, and Sai Woo, a trendy Asian restaurant in Chinatown. My cousin painted our dish in her art class something about having an art class paint your dishes is more nerve racking then cooking for guests itself and also better judges of my food than most foodies in Vancouver . . The way I create my dishes is always first through colours, shades and shapes, and then build the dish upon that and never through copying recipes and cookbooks because that’s stealing someone’s hard work .... .
