Trimming pottery mugs
Meet the Maker: Linda Walton is a painter and potter. She uses her clay pieces as a canvas. There is amazing depth in her thematic journeys. Recently she’s been doing some detailed commission work, spending over 20 hours on the decoration of this fish bowl! She’s also been getting back to some water colour painting. What a gift for a mum to treasure! Pop into the gallery to see more of her work. ... lindawaltonoriginals.com See more
Shaving bowls, made by Leah, are available, with brushes, at the gallery!!
A bonus few hours today (Monday). If the sign is out, we’re open. I’ll likely be here until 1:00.

It’s Bonus Wednesday tomorrow at the gallery! We are lucky to have Maeva Collins, Flying Ash Pottery, in the store this week! Make sure to come by to see her and all the lovely work that our wonderful potters have been creating! The gallery is open at 10 am!
Kiln openings are always exciting for potters, especially when there’s a new body of work, or experiments in there. Here’s some new pieces Sylvia is bringing into the gallery from her latest firing.
Are you missing Kitty Coleman this weekend? The Potters Place has you covered And Katy Fogg of @livingearthpottery has brought in new inventory. We know she’s a regular at Kitty Coleman, so drop in Saturday 10-3 to catch her new pieces.
Reduced hours are necessary for us during these times. I thought I’d post a reminder. We are doing odd bonus days if one of us is able (usually a Wednesday), so if the sign is out... come visit.

Meet the Maker: Tom Dennis Tom is a Denman Island potter who takes inspiration from quiet nature. His glazing has a beautiful, gentle feel, but surprises you with a pop of colour to make you smile. He has brought in many mugs and some new large feature piece bowls. Come into the gallery Thurdays, Fridays, or Saturdays to see his work and the work of 30 local potters.

If anyone arrived at the gallery before 10:10 today... my sincerest apologies for being late. But I had a good excuse! This happened this morning. My mama hen had hatched out 4 babies and still had two eggs that I didn’t think were viable - apparently, I was wrong. This little girl was struggling and mama thought she was done her job. Just needed to keep her warm for a while, until mama returned to the nest I’ll be here until at least 3:00
Feeling the pain of no Filberg, or Nautical Days? Drop in to #thepottersplacegallery for your local art fix. Open 10-3 Friday and Saturday
Meet the Maker Carol Harris. You will love the attention to detail in Carol’s work. Her stunning textures paired with the glazes she has developed play off one another beautifully. She will be your host on Thursday the 30th. I began working with clay in 1988, learning to throw on the wheel and then moving into handbuilding which is now my sole focus. I am completely in love with this medium of artistic expression and am constantly amazed at the endless possibilities, allowing myself to be led as I experiment and play. I am grateful for the joy it brings and hope others can feel it too.
Who’s been waiting for Hanna to bring in more tree mugs.... here they are. I’m just unpacking them now. Hurry in because they go fast!!
Meet the Maker Teacher and Student. Joe Stefiuk is constantly learning and experimenting with clay, even after 60 years! He first started playing with clay in grade 9. He’s a UBC grad of the arts and taught junior high school art in the Comox Valley. Many days in the gallery we hear Mr. Stefiuk was my art teacher said with such love and respect. You can see the animals of the #comoxvalley offer him an abundance of inspiration. His salt fired masks are a treasure to behold. Pop in and check them out.
