the best dairy-free rosé sauce !! this recipe is a long time favourite that I like to whip out when I’m craving a creamy, comforting rosé pasta sauce. why I love this recipe: this non-dairy sauce is packed with healthy fats & minerals from creamy cashews, antioxidants from the tomatoes and tons of anti-viral and anti-inflammatory spices, garlic and onion. DAIRY FREE ROSÉ SAUCE ... I served mine with spaghetti squash noodles but you can use aaaaany pasta you’d like! Serves 4 1 small red onion 3 garlic cloves spices: 1/2 tsp of turmeric, 1 tsp of paprika, 1 tsp of Italian herbs or oregano, lots of salt and pepper to taste the juice of 1/2 lemon 3 tomatoes 1/2 jar of marinara sauce - I use @raos from costco (hands down the BEST) 1 can of chickpeas optional: fresh herbs like basil or cilantro method: chop your onion and garlic and sauté in a pot with olive oil until fragrant. Add the spices, finely chopped tomatoes, lemon juice, marinara, chickpeas and around 1-2 cups water. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer and let the water evaporate for around 15-20 mins while you cook your pasta. The sauce should thicken up and get super creamy (keep simmering to evaporate water if there’s still too much left). Serve with fresh herbs and your fav pasta! fuelling my days off with lots of time in nature, good company, movement, reflection + nourishment. Healing acne is SO much more than just nutrition or the skincare products you use. Acne often stems from a lack of joy, self-esteem and time for play. Here are some questions to ask yourself when it comes to clearing your skin am I including daily activities that reduce my stress? am I setting time aside for play and time in nature? am I putting in the work to have ...a healthy body image? am I doing things that bring me joy to improve my mental health? Here are some things that helped me immensely on my acne clearing journey back in 2015 jogging outdoors to reduce stress, increase vitamin D exposure and support the lymphatic system using free guided meditations on youtube exploring local hikes with friends attending a hot yoga class weekly creating vision boards from magazines or on pinterest to help manifest a life that brought me joy (ps I’m now living that life!)
