Recognize this sweet face? Less than two months ago we shared that K had completed level 1 of the Winstrada Development Program. Well, she has been hard at work and we are now celebrating her completing level 2! There were happy tears all around I assure you! To complete level 2, K demonstrated the ability to pop to stand, pogo in all directions, complete consecutive astride jumps, run on spot with low crossover, and execute the Harrison swivel, amongst many other ...skills! Her strength, coordination, balance, and CONFIDENCE have improved greatly since starting Rebound Therapy with TheraBounce! We are so proud of you K! WHERE IT ALL STARTED Part 2 Rebound Therapy (ReboundTherapy.org) is responsible for the development and provision of the certificated and accredited training courses, and for the establishment of overseas partners. ... Jenn completed her Rebound Therapy certification through ReboundTherapy.org via their in-depth online training course. This course provided Jenn with the training to safely and effectively deliver Rebound Therapy to children and adults with a wide variety of needs and disabilities. When ReboundTherapy.org approached Jenn about becoming a Rebound Therapy tutor, she jumped at the opportunity! Through extensive training delivered by ReboundTherapy.org, Jenn became certified as one of only two Rebound Therapy tutors in Canada! Jenn went on to teach her first Rebound Therapy course in partnership with ReboundTherapy.org in August 2020. TheraBounce hopes to be able to offer more in-person courses in 2021! In the meantime, candidates can access ReboundTherapy.org’s online Rebound Therapy and Flexi-Bounce Therapy courses through TheraBounce. See the link in our bio for more information on courses! Additionally, to increase the accessibility and reach of TheraBounce’s services, Jenn went on to complete her Flexi-Bounce Therapy certification through ReboundTherapy.org. Flexi-Bounce Therapy utilizes a rebounder, rather than a full sized trampoline, making it portable and ideal for clinic use and home visits. Where it all started - Part 1 TheraBounce Founder, Jenn Evans first discovered Rebound Therapy while completing her MSc Physiotherapy degree in Leeds, England. Whilst abroad, Jenn became involved with SNAPS (Special Needs and Parents Support). SNAPS provides leisure support services for children with special needs and their families with the aim of enabling the child, along with siblings, parents and other carers to participate in a shared experience of physical activi...ty and fun. SNAPS provides physiotherapist led hydrotherapy and Rebound Therapy sessions, along with a range of other fun activities. Jenn first joined SNAPS as a volunteer and had the opportunity to shadow and assist with Rebound Therapy sessions. She fell in love with Rebound Therapy immediately. Most Saturdays for the two years that Jenn was in England, you could find her on a trampoline working alongside amazing paediatric physiotherapists. If it wasn’t for this amazing experience at SNAPS, Jenn may not have fallen in love with Rebound Therapy and TheraBounce may have never existed!
