In addition to our 2,200 square feet therapy space, we have 8 individualized rooms and stringent health screening and cleaning protocols. The current restrictions by Dr. Bonnie Henry are for indoor recreational group fitness and training sessions only. We do not provide group fitness and team trainings at the moment so our 1:1 therapy appointments and wellness sessions will continue. We also have continued to offer virtual/online appointments. Hey Surrey, it calls for another dump of snow in the next 2 days. Please remember these safe snow shoveling tips from @theracorehealthservices -Using a shovel with a shaft will help you keep a better grip on the shovel and also help keep your back straight. -Avoid using a shovel that is too long, as this could make the snow pile heavier to lift, causing strain to your back. -Make sure to shovel smaller piles of snow at a time instead of very heavy piles. -Remember to take bre...aks frequently when needed by walking around and standing up straight. -Helpful stretching exercises for your back include backward bending. Stand up straight and tall and position your hands at the back of your hips while gently arching backwards for a few seconds. Safety first! See more

Tennis elbow is a tendinopathy of the common extensor origin of the lateral elbow. In former times the condition was usually named "lateral epicondylitis. The main clinical symptoms are pain on resisted movements (particularly resisted third finger extension) and tenderness at the lateral epicondyle, with normal elbow range of motion. The initial treatment should be conservative including rest, physiotherapy, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. As in the case of chronic Achilles tendinopathy and chronic plantar fasciopathy, eccentric (lengthening only) exercises have become the mainstay of rehabilitation programs for tennis elbow. An attractive alternative is Radial Shock Wave therapy (RSWT). #shockwavetherapy #physicaltherapy #elbowpain #theracore

What is the Difference Between a Strain and a Sprain? Strains and sprains may sound similar and are often confused, but they are two completely different types of injuries. Both muscle strains and ligament sprains can be excruciatingly painful and your physiotherapist will be able to assess the injured tissue accurately to develop an effective treatment plan. A strain is the stretching or tearing of a muscle or tendon. The tendon is the connection of the muscle to the bone. ...A sprain, on the other hand, is a stretching of the ligaments which is tissue that connects two bones together.from Physiocanhelp.ca website We can help you recover!
