It’s time for our first weekly #stafffeature ! This week we are highlighting team member @jess.mcwilliams Jess has been a part of our family for about 7 months now and has quickly earned her nickname Steam Queen after taking on the job of steaming and sanitizing clothing items. Jess is currently honouring in environment & society and majoring in gender & women studies at STU. She enjoys spending her free time bouldering, but has started outdoor climbing since the pandemi...c started. Jess also enjoys hiking and says that Acadian National Park is her favourite park that she’s been to. We are very fortunate to have such an awesome gal on our team! Make sure you stop by to chat with her about climbing and camping gear.

The new kit has arrived! We’ve got MTB loose fit jersey, (as our lovely model JD is pictured wearing), 2 styles in the regular jersey (slim and standard) including women’s. We have a bib short available as well, in both men’s and women’s. This will match with the other kit we plan to launch in the spring of 2021. This kit marks a departure from Louis Garneau, we have moved to Jakroo and we have found the fit to be very similar. Logos on the back include our 2 clubs associated with the shop. Who can be a part of the club? Well that’s easy, ride a bike (Equipped with a BELL of course), wear a helmet and be a good steward of the sport of cycling!

For our first #madeincanadamonday we would like to highlight some amazing Canadian companies that have helped us get out on the water this summer. New this year to the Radical family, this Nova Craft Canoe is manufactured in Ontario, as well as the Grey Owl Paddle, Salus Marine PFD and handmade Tilley paddling hat. These Canadian companies understand the importance of having premium Canada-made products on the market and are sure to make any paddle trip an adventure!

Hiking and backpacking in our province has seen a boom over the last 8 months. With that, there is an increase in trail usage, as well as trail trash. We can all do better than this. If you brought it in with you, bring it back out. Leave the campsites and trails looking better than when you found it. Practice Leave No Trace.
