I’m happy to introduce Aimee Bryan’s & Tia! Aimee visits with her Boxer Tia. Tia just celebrated her 8th birthday last Halloween and visit patients at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. Tia is instrumental in helping motivate patients to participate in rehab therapy activities. Tia helps bring joy to those in hospital who are away from their loved ones and their own pets, sometimes for an extended period of time. She helps patients one on one as well as in small groups, providing company and inspiration as well as enjoying all the attention and pets herself!! Aimee

Ozzy and Dan visited twice a week at Bowmanville Creek Retirement Community. ... Ozzy is missed by all of us but will never be forgotten. Ozzy was truly a wonderful ambassador for TPOC Dan is also certified to visit with Izzy a Golden Retriever owned by Sheila Service of our team.

Today’s team feature is Yvonne Kryzanowski & Neva Neva is a registered Merle Border Collie. She is also deaf but you wouldn’t know she had this disability! She turned 6 years old on Jan 27th. She came to me almost 3 years ago, along with her half brother Dyson (another Border Collie). Due to unforeseen circumstances, they had to be re-homed and they came just at the right time for my husband and I as a few months earlier we lost our other Border Collie. They came from a lo...ving home and it was soon realized that Neva may make an excellent Therapy Dog! Neva was certified as a Therapy a dog on Feb 4th, 2019 with Therapeutic Paws of Canada and started her career in nursing homes and progressed to local high schools. She brought many smiles to the residents of Fosterbrooke nursing home in Newcastle and loves her pats and scratches from the residents and the same at the local high schools. She excelled at showing off her knowledge of hand signals! She misses seeing all of her friends at these places and now takes the opportunity to greet people (and steal a pat or two) from anyone who passes her on our walks. On her leisure time, she loves to walk at the many trails along Clarington but best of all she loves to play in mud puddles. She also likes to provide support to her neighbor Ryan to help him in any way to support his favorite hockey team....even if it means dressing up. Pics of Neva doing her monitored visits, at the CBC event in Toronto and supporting the Toronto Maple Leafs with neighbor Ryan. Yvonne

Sue Betts and Chuck are our Team feature today Chuck is a 9 year old chocolate Labrador Retriever who loves life. He became a certified Therapy Dog in 2018 and was child certified in 2019 Chuck is a conformation champion, has his Excellent level agilities titles, an Expert Trick Dog Title, an intermediate Rally Obedience title and a CKC recognized Therapy Dog Title... Chuck really enjoys doing his weekly visits to the Bowmanville Hospital. When we were allowed to visit in person, he enjoyed performing tricks for the patients and he always carried a stuffed animal around. Chuck always remembered which rooms and offices to go in, which staff members to see and he was quite willing to stop and chat with anyone and say hi. He also dressed up for various holidays. Currently we visit the hospital virtually each week and when it’s time to put his bandana on, he becomes very excited! Chuck knows where to sit (on the couch) and is very patient during our FaceTime visits Chuck and I have also visited schools. Watching how my sweet boy loves what he is doing and how he brings smiles to those he visits, makes me do very proud. We look forward to when we can visit again Sue
