Hi, It is really sad that someone could steal from someone who has passed away a month ago. A long time resident of Macaulay Road, Patrick who passed away on Ju...ly 4, 2018 his wood working shop was broken into and a substantial amount of wood working tools, carving tools were stolen. There was also some welding equipment and head gear, metal bending equipment outside that was stolen. These people knew about woodworking. Also of sentimental value was a Cari-boo rack that has been in the family over 50years that his grandfather had hunted was stolen. A unique wood working project: two pieces of spalted maple that were glued together that looked like a shelf with a stone and something else inserted in knots in the wood with epoxy filler. A couple of raw edged maple boards and one raw edge cedar board that was glued together which could be used as a shelf. Outside there was a pile of cherry wood that had just been milled. I will attach a picture of this. I will add a list of tools at a later date. If anyone knows of any items that someone has just acquired this week, possibly Monday or Tuesday that might be suspicious please notify me or the RCMP. I notified the RCMP of this. We the family are mourning the passing of our loved one, Patrick and now we are subjected to this violation. Thank you for any help in this See more

I am saddened to say that Pat who does all the beautiful carpentry work has been battling cancer. His wife is trying her best to keep his woodworking shop going for him as this is his happy place. She has found the expenses pretty daunting especially the hydro bill. If anyone is able to make a donation to help keep things operational for Pat please contact Laurie at [email protected]

Powder room at the winery...I was told ( by a few, all male) that the level of detail was uncalled for and would not be noticed...as it turns out, however, the ladies beg to differ...

Join us for a brief tour of " the Bear House". Located a few miles north of Campbell River at Race Point, this secluded home is set in natural splendor that rivals any in my expeience. The images are the work of local genius photographer Lee Simmons at Island Life Photographic. In the early stages of this total rebuild, the owner mentioned that he wouldn't want money to stand in the way of artistic expression (!!!) It's easy to see that Jim and I somehow maintained both our composure and discretion, and didn't get carried away at all..

Forty foot live edge bar with 28 foot backbar at Coastal Black Winery. Precision milling by Phil Ludwig, granite by Rod Philips....The big slab had two small knots over it's entire length...breathtaking ...

Jim and Pat built this reception area for a Microsoft game lab in Victoria a few years ago...It has since been home to the Victoria Harbour Commission and is currently a digital processing facility for Ingrooves Music Group. The fish are friendly enough, but a tad geeky... .
