Hi there! Every year, after Christmas, I notice that Christmas paper gets stuffed into our mixed paper recycle bins. Unfortunately, Christmas paper is generally single use. There is no way to hide that or make it magically disappear into our recycling program when so much of it contains glitter and other plastic pieces that is not recyclable. * Updated: and if your gift wrap can be recycled, then great, but what about looking beyond our single use options? CLOSED TODAY : Monday. Due to the pier park fire adding to the already poor air quality. First, just a huge thank you to the fire firefighters of New Westminster, and the firefighters of surrounding cities for keeping us safe. Last night at one point seventy firefighters were working at one time. Thank you for everything that you do. Chantelle who works with us and her family, to Jaycee and her family and us, we all live in the city, and my husband brother and myself just b...locks away from the pier. We love New Westminster, we love our city, our customers are just the best. We just want everyone safe. Right now the air is filled with not just smoke, but the chemical effects of the fire. To the other shops that are closed or open at a minimum, today too, if theres anything we can do to help, please reach out. I'll be in and out today of the shop today, but not to open to the public.
