I am ready to apply, where do I begin? I have heard this question many times: "Now that I have my perfect resume, what's the one site that will get me the best results?" The answer really depends on the role and the industry you are going after but there are job search engines and sites that will be suitable for the majority of job hunts.... Indeed - collects and displays jobs from other sites for free, if the job ads meet its standards. It boasts impressive numbers and can be customized to offer job notifications for multiple roles and in different locales. LinkedIn - used primarily for professional recruitment LinkedIn is a paid posting site where a job seeker can immediately see if they may have connections within the company of choice and reach out for feedback and corporate culture tips. Glassdoor - Millions of candidates visit this site to explore and leave reviews as well as look for jobs. This gives job seekers a great opportunity to see the overall impression about the potential employer. Glassdoor also offer salary insights that most other sites do not. Monster - Although many consider Monster to be outdated in its popularity it is still one of the most visited job boards worldwide. Similarly to Indeed this engine collects data from various points and gives the job seeker a wide range of options. ZipRecruiter - integrates with most recruiting software and is extremely user friendly. ZipRecruiter prompts the job seeker to apply for roles that may be suitable based on their previous experience. It also allows recruiters to reach out to candidates that did not apply for the position but suit the requirements. Let someone else do the work - Employment agencies such as Elby Recruitment, Ranstad and Pivotal HR to name a few could be great partners in your job hunt and will have access to opportunities not listed on any of the aforementioned sites. Although hiring agencies do charge a percentage fee or a finders fee, that charge will be paid by your employer so you have nothing to worry about. If you aren't sure how to start your job search or have doubts about your current resume - we are always here to help. Email us at [email protected] or call at 647-886-4497 Happy Job Hunting!
