Happy rainy day Monday... Last week, the producer at Rogers TV called me upset because A) I posted that video (Video Addiction) to my Facebook page promoting the show and B) I wanted to change out my set for season 2 with some new chairs that would have been supplied by one of my clients. All expenses paid by me, to give my guests a better experience. Well, apparently there was a miscommunication about posting of that shows. Nothing clearly discussed except that I was allowe...d to post three shows from my first season. What was not clearly discussed was that I was not supposed to post here to this Facebook page, apparently Rogers would post to their website and I could use a link (something that was not shared with me). BTW when I asked if I should remove it I was told no I could leave it. However, during this conversation where we discussed our concerns something else transpired that was very unacceptable and unprofessional. The producer began screaming at me (for his privacy I will not share what he said) However it was serious and very unnerving that I hung up. So why am I sharing this? Partly because I am very disappointed in how I was treated, and because I know I am not the first that this has happened to, and secondly I am a volunteer, who was giving my time to help other people in our community share their stories. I have spoken to his manager who concurred with some of my points and asked me if I wanted to return, but I have declined as I can not return to that type of environment. Also I used to be a producer at this location I do understand the demands, however, I have never treated anyone like this nor would I. Let's face it we all have bad days, and sometimes people are demanding. (I may appear that way but truly it's because I want to do a great job with everything I do) So, I have to come up with a plan B. I would like to continue this show on an online platform, which would just mean some changes on how it's presented. Let me know what you think?
