To all of my lovely clients: Last week, Premier Horgan announced that Personal Service Establishments (P.S.E.s) such as myself would be able to reopen in mid May. However, at this point, B.C.s Provincial Health Officer, Bonnie Henry, has not yet lifted her order for us all to close. As of right now, her order stands to end May 30th, after which, she may or may not extend that date. I will do my best to continue to keep you informed as I hear new information. In the meantime, I will be homeschooling, working on projects around the house & preparing to see all of you again soon! - Karen

It is with sadness that I join the masses & announce that The Sardis Electrolysis Lounge will be closed until further notice. . I am grateful to the Canadian government which has announced today that the new Emergency Care Benefit will be extended to self employed business owners like myself. The decision to close is such a tough one, but it is made easier with the assurance that the government is going to look after everyone as best as they can. As a mother of four youn...g kids , closing my 18 month old business is the last thing my husband or I want to do. But again, I am thankful to the government of Canada for also temporarily increasing the Canada Child Benefit to help us continue to care for our family through this trying time. . I truly LOVE what I do. I will miss working, I will miss my clients & I will miss helping people feel better about themselves by removing their unwanted hair. . I hope we can all do our part to help each other by continuing to practice social distancing until this all blows over. . After a few pregnancies, I realized I had darker upper lip hair. It made me feel so self-conscious and I had to keep up with threading every 4 weeks or so. Waxing was so irritating, my skin would have a rash for a few days afterwards. Threading was more gentle on my skin but I found the hair grew back darker and more coarse. I was skeptical that anything could really be permanent when I met with Karen for the first time, but it was worth a try. I had to get rid of what felt ...like a 5 oclock shadow constantly appearing on my face. The treatment was a bit painful because of the sensitive area, but Karen had a few different solutions to get me through the pain. My skin did swell a little bit but nothing compared to waxing. Having to go weekly at first was hard but I was able to quickly decrease my visits and definitely got some quick results. I love not having to worry about how the sun might be hitting my face, making my upper lip hair stand out even more. I am definitely more confident knowing its gone forever and no one is looking at me funny. .
