BIG HEARTS CHRISTMAS HAMPER has teamed up with Selkirk Biz and Selkirk Home Hardware to create the Holiday Spirit Program and collect cash/monetary donations th...is year. The funds will be turned into biz bucks for families to purchase their own items. Nov 12-Dec 13 will be the donation dates, cards made that week and handing out at Harvester Outdoors once ready. Unfortunately COVID has put a hold on our normal operation for the season, so we won’t be collecting non-perishables, and there will be no hamper this year. That being said, we are lucky that Selkirk Biz and Home Hardware stepped up, thanks to Krystal Laferriere and Wendy for all of your help. You two are amazing! Shout out to the Big Hearts crew, Danny Kleinsasser, David Obirek and Sean Johnston for always having great ideas! Big shout out to Timber Wilderness Products , MGA Distribution and Rocky Mountain Reforestation Canada for their ongoing support! Chris Millman We will be posting the names of participating locations next week! Thank you for your support helping those in need during this Holiday season!

I-Spy with my little eye..... three scary skeletons! We invite you to keep your eyes open across the city for I-Spy displays in the windows of your favourite l...ocal organizations. We have nine businesses who have decorated their windows as a mini I-spy game that all ages can enjoy in a Covid-friendly way. When you find a display, there will be a number on the window to show which location you are at. Try to find all 9 locations before Midnight on October 31st and submit a photo with your favourite display in the comments below to be entered in to win one of three City of Selkirk prizes. Each prize is valued at $50 and will be appropriate to the age of the winner. If you are having a hard time finding a display, keep checking the comment section for a daily clue. Good Luck!
