I would like to introduce you to our newest team member, Sam! Thanks to all our loyal and new clients, Sarah and I simply couldn’t keep up. Sam started grooming this week and is doing an amazing job. She is kind and patient with the dogs and has made an excellent addition to our team. Linda I have loved animals my entire life, I knew I wanted a job that I could work with animals every day and I have found it! I have two beautiful dogs Hades (German Shepherd x collie) and A...va (Lab x great Pyrenees) I also have 3 children. I moved to the area back in September when me and my fiance bought our first house! I am so excited to be working alongside two amazing women and meet all of you and your fur babies! Sam

Many of you whom have be in in the last two months have met our newest greeter, Harrison my standard poodle. Well I finally squeezed in some time to give him his first full haircut. Here’s the before (washed and dried) and the after. He still needs practice as he kept wanting to stick his nose wherever my clippers were!!

Hey All my wonderful Clients, We have been very busy at The Shaggy Dog: two weeks of reno’s, lists and lists of clients to call back (I am still working on this one) and starting today working Monday-Friday from 9:00am - 7:00pm everyday until we get caught up on all our clients. If I have not yet called you or messaged you back on Facebook, it may be a good idea now to call the shop during the day. My amazing mother, Anne, is manning my phones during this crazy time, while... I groom like crazy, and my bather, Sarah, baths and dries everyone. We are trying to fit everyone in as quickly as possible. I would also like to thank my amazing and very handy husband Adam, for all the work he had done to give my shop a face lift and putting up with all my ideas. And also to my mom and our friend John, who have put in more time then needed working on The Shaggy Dog’s Face lift. I would also like to point out that my sign on the wall was printed at Norwich Printworks by Scott Battram. P.S there are pet safety gates coming, my husband is currently working on those!!

A sneak peek at our renos, we are working at high speed to get it completed before Tuesday!! But I it!!

Yeah!! Looks like we are back in business starting Tuesday. But I do need to ask everyone to be patient as I go down my list and contact each and everyone of you. We will do our best to get to each one of you as quickly as possible. I will be calling throughout the weekend as well. (We are currently under renos , so we are working to get it finished before Tuesday) Thank you for your patience

It looks like we maybe able to open soon. Please listen to Doug Fords address on Thursday to hear what he says. I will post of how things will go once I know when my open up date will be. Thank you for your patience

A message from your pet groomer: We have had to close our doors to help stop the spread of Covid 19. We miss seeing our clients and grooming our furry friends, after all...we love your pets, and love making them look good! We know it's been a while since your pet has been groomed and that they are getting shaggy...they may also be getting some matting in their fur too. We know their faces are getting long, that they are getting hot, and that their nails need a trim. ... But as more time passes, we are starting to get messages from clients hoping to find a way around the measures put into place by the government. Urgent messages are being left in hopes we can "just trim around the eyes" or "just trim the nails". There have even been requests from people asking to take pets into our own homes or go to theirs and "secretly" groom them there. We know you want the best for your pet...for them to be comfortable, but these messages are incredibly inappropriate. You are asking us to break the laws currently put into place and have us risk being fined for doing so. You are making an already difficult situation even more difficult, as there is nothing more we wish to be doing right now than to be grooming! So, what can you do for your pet? Now is a great time to watch Youtube videos on pet grooming, or to message your us for tips on keeping your pet in good shape until we see them again. If your pet is in distress, please contact your veterinarian for medical advice...they can often help in urgent matters. We promise as soon as we can be open again...we will. After all, we are eager to get back to doing the job we love so much! Until then, brush, brush, brush...and we'll see you again soon. Linda Sayer The Shaggy Dog
