Hello Minor Hockey! Your QDMHA held its first executive meeting and we want to bring you all up to speed. In the next few days you will see a good amount of inf...ormation coming your way, please make sure to read it and let us know any and all feedback or questions you have. This is new for us and we are trying really hard to balance everything so it is as easy as possible. 1.- As indicated by the Provincial Health Authorities, we are now in Phase 3. You can find the document in our website www.qdmha.com 2.- In simple words, this means we can have games within our own Divisions. 3.- A health Questionnaire app will be put into place, so each kid (or parent) can answer the health questions before coming to the arena (every time). This is mandatory. Your team coach or manager will explain in detail once it is operational. We will also post the instructions here and on our website. 4.- We have posted the Tryout times. We face a significant space challenge in Rink 2 with the amount of space that is available, we find it extremely hard to social distance. For that reason spectators will not be allowed until we move into Phase 4. We understand it is hard for all and we have explored all possibilities, unfortunately Rink 2 is just too small. 5.- West Fraser Center does provide more than enough space for spectators and they will be allowed. Clear markers and arrows will be placed by the City so you can follow them and avoid crowds. 5.a Why don't you do Tryouts on WFC? we also asked that and the city's plan is to put the Ice on Rink 2 first. They have a new ice plant and this is how their processes work, Rink 2 first, then WFC. 6.- Ice times will have a half hour in between to sanitize change rooms and stands. No people will be allowed in the building during this time, please make sure to come at the indicated time and exit the building as soon as possible. 7.- Please have your kids come to the rink fully dressed in their hockey gear, provided that their safety is not compromised when sitting on a car seat. Chairs will be placed behind the ice to allow parents of small children help tie their skates 8.- Showers will not be operational 9.- WFC's walking track won't be open 10.- Please register soon and take advantage of the discounted pricing. Register at www.qdmha.com
