From Richmond Hill Public Library Welcome to the entrance to Bond Lake Park as it looked in June of 1927. In 1899, the Metropolitan Railway purchased the William Bell farm around the shores of the lake for its park. Bond Lake was Ontario’s first electric park and was certainly a popular destination for residents of Richmond Hill.
