The Moment weve been waiting for!!! The Order has been lifted and we are now preparing to reopen the SPA! We have been working with Worksafe BC... Beauty Council of B.C. Provincial Health Office to ensure policies, guidelines and procedures/protocols are put in to place to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Certifications/Renewals of: BeautySafe Level 1 : General Trade Practise and BeautySafe Level 2 : Esthetics NASP (North American School of Podology)Level 2 Sanitation/Disinfection. Completed In the following days I will be posting the new protocols to give you a preview of what you can expect to see when coming to the SPA. I so look forward to seeing everyone again. I understand that some may still feel somewhat apprehensive regarding the opening of personal services and thats okay. I LOVE AND MISS MY WORK IM MISSING YOU! As things begin to open. Ive been preparing myself on COVID-19 Safety Protocols specific to Personal Services in the Beauty Industry( as we know it at this point in time) through Online Training.... There have been numerous inquiries as to an open date. This exact date has not been confirmed however guidelines are being worked on and we hope to hear something soon. Id like you all to know that I have been preparing for a reopening by educating myself as well as providing the proper PPE / Sanitation/Disinfection based on the info I have received to date. Well its official all spas are to remain closed. I just want to make sure that all my clients know that I am available for any concerns etc. via DM, Video call, email, text phone. Products will be made available either by delivery or pick-up maintaining the 2 meter distance requirements. All products and packaging will be wiped down with a disinfectant and handled with gloves. I want to also add this suggestion and Ill give my reasons for this. For those of you that are al...ready working with an esthetician (skincare specialist) especially, I would suggest that you remain with this person. I say this for 2 reasons. The first being your Esthetician needs your support during what is going to be a very difficult time. The other reason is: your Esthetician has all your health history, protocols, reactions to treatment etc on file. The most important part of treating your skin and providing the most effective plan involves a thorough skin analysis that under these times I cannot do as effectively as the one your Esthetician has already completed. I do not say this to turn anyone away, as I do have the ability to assist anyone, but under these circumstances in a limited capacity. I conclude by saying: Honour the work your Esthetician is doing and has done and Stay the Course See more

Sanitation and Disinfection!! the SPA has always taken extra measures to ensure Sanitation & Disinfection requirements have been exceeded. Its been my practise to raise sanitation requirements to disinfection levels. In light of what is happening around the world Id like to share a few practises with you. The Debit/Credit Terminal is disinfected after each use. I ask for your patience as it takes 3-5 mins before it can be used after disinfecting. Tapping if possible is a g...ood idea for you. Of course the terminal is still disinfected. Doors, knobs, equipment etc is wiped with disinfectant after each client I ask that you refrain from picking up the retail product from the shelf. I will remove from the shelf and wipe down with disinfectant prior to you handling. When possible use your own pen. If thats not possible I have disinfected pens for your use. Need to make a call and dont have a cell phone...... Youll have to wait a few mins for the disinfection process completes. Theres a lot more that goes without saying ie: linens, disposable implements (always tossed out and never reused), stainless steel procedures, pedi bowls etc. However too much to mention .As mentioned prior the SPA exceeds the required standards. Backbar products are ALWAYS wiped down with a-hospital grade disinfectant. SORRY- But I have removed the wrapped candy bowls. Next week Ill have a new supply that I will give out with a gloved hand. I have only just touched upon a few things so if you have any concerns please dont hesitate to contact me. We are a small boutique spa that usually has one client in the SPA at a time.
