The Stage at St Andrews 30.01.2021

If you have been thinking about returning to in person worship, this is the week! We welcome Henry Bishop and Linda Carvery for a very special worship of stor...y and spirituals. Henry and Linda bring African Nova Scotian history to life, with gospel spirit and song. Linda Carvery is an ECMA winner for Best Jazz Artist (2002) and recipient of the African Nova Scotian Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award. You may have seen her in on the stages of Neptune Theatre stage or the East Coast Blues Summit, or Mount Saint Vincent University’s production The Soulful Sunday Sounds of Africville. Henry Bishop is a well-known educator, artist, and master drummer specializing in African Djembe. His main focus in life is to create better understanding and respect for all people with his use of a positive holistic cultural learning experience. We will have extra seating, with measured spacing. Invite your friends to worship with us. Our turn toward Black History Month begins with worship, on January 31st.
