We were so excited for November- with a promise to open back up with food and drink inside- and virtual and private parties booked up-we were getting excited for what is usually our busiest month. Then- the numbers rose and we had new regulations and then a lockdown ordered in Toronto and Peel. We are still do...ing virtual events and paint nights that you can do from home safe and sound together online- so keep an eye on our calendar- our December is coming soon. Our talented artists dreamt up a collection of dreamy fall forest scenes that I just fall for each time I see them and so I wanted to share them here for all to see. Dreaming up our painting collections are part of the fun we have working at The Studio. This has been a hard decision to make- but it had to be made as the safety of our Guests, our Community and our Staff is our highest priority. The Studio will close down for the time being and we will reevaluate every two weeks to see when we can open again. We are in the Region of Peel-which is reporting an increased case count. Due to this, effective as of Nov 13 2020 at 12 am, further restrictions or suggestions were introduced that include some of the following: - no gath...ering with members other than your immediate household and essential supports. - we are strongly advised to limit going out to only the essentials such as school, work, fitness purchase of food or drink or automobile maintenance. - Event venues should be closed. - Cancel/postpone or hold virtually all discretionary events and participate in anything with only your household members. It is confusing as we are not being told as a business to shut down either so this decision is one of our own. We are being told we can operate a tented patio, however, with all the costs we have had to bear equipping our space with as much precautions as we can to provide a clean and safe space for people to socially distance and paint and sip at a reduced capacity inside our Studio- we cannot afford to tent and heat our patio when it also seems that no one will come out to join us on it at this time, especially when the weather is getting colder. We will watch the news and the cases every two weeks and will be back when it is safe and viable to open our beloved Studio again. This is such a hard time for everyone- but we will all pull through. Our hearts go out to all affected by this. To keep our wonderful staff and artists busy as best we can, we will be running virtual events and wine tastings online, and will be dreaming of better days where people are safe to come out, join us in Studio or on our Patio, have all the amazing cocktail recipes we dream up in this time and paint party with us in person again.
