The rink is officially open! Please be respectful of other skaters, stay 6 feet apart and have fun! There are some bumpy spots still and the lights will not be turned on tonight. ESA will be coming tomorrow to approve the electrical work.
If you are looking for a place to skate today, Batawa has some of their rinks open!
Unfortunately there is too much water still on the ends of the rink so it will remain closed. Fingers crossed for some cold weather soon!
Unfortunately with a flood and cold weather, the ice is still too damaged to be safe to skate on. We will be working today on trying to fix the repairs.
Ice update: The rink is finally frozen enough to be able to walk on it however the ice is damaged from people who walked on it. We will need to get it watered again before it’s safe to skate on. Hang tight!
We are looking for an electrician who can help us out with the lights for the park. Please let me know if you can assist or can refer someone. Thanks
Today’s ice update: There is a line layer of ice on top but the underneath is still water. If anyone steps on it, they will go through the layer of ice. Please, please do not step on the ice to check it out, this will ruin the smooth top layer. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
Thank you Duvanco Homes Inc. and crew for taking down our rink and supporting our community! We really appreciate it
A huge thanks to Belleville fire and all the volunteers who braved the cold rain to help us get the liner in and filled with water! We now ask that everyone stays off on the rink until it’s frozen and ready to go! Merry Christmas!
With the weather warming up and spring right around the corner, we want to thank everyone who helped us with the rink especially Duvanco homes, Belleville fire, Canadian tire, St. Lawrence Pools and everyone who helped with shovelling! We hope to see you again next Winter!
Rink is getting filled with water on Thursday at 11am. Come on down to help out!
Good Morning Neighbours! The liner will be going in our rink tomorrow. We are looking for 7 neighbours to join our team this winter. It is only a small commitment. You would be responsible for one day a week to check on the ice condition, shovelling and determining whether the rink should remain open or closed. We found it is best to have a team to ensure ice conditions are at their best. ... Please respond or pm Andrea or Sarah. Thanks!
Exciting News!!! We have officially launched our website!!! Check out our upcoming events and you can now donate to the foundation directly from the website. Check it out and share with all your friends! www.sylvainrouthierfoundation.com
Due to the beautiful warm weather, the rink is closed again.
Rink is a little bumpy around the edges and ends but it’s back open!
Unfortunately due to the warm weather, the ice is too soft to skate and is now closed. Please stay off it so we can get it watered and it will hopefully harder overnight.
Sorry the rink is closed!
The rink is open but needs shovelling! There are some bumps so please be careful!
Great night at the rink!!
The smiles on the kids faces make it all worth it!
Due to an electrical issue, unfortunately the lights will not be turned on tonight. Feel free to still skate and bring a headlamp or flashlight. We should have it fixed tomorrow and the lights back on tomorrow. Sorry about that.
The rink is OPEN! The ice has been repaired and is frozen and we want to extend a huge thank you to Belleville Fire and Duvanco Homes for helping us get it open again. Now hopefully the cold weather stays for a bit! Enjoy! Belleville North Neighbours
We are in need of some people to start shovelling the rink if we want to get it opened. Feel free to stop by and do a bit. If lots of people just do a little bit, it will get done in no time! Thanks
