Using a light resistance band for a single arm KB deadlift to improve mistakes in form that can prevent injury. How is the band doing that you ask? - It aids the effectiveness of the anti rotation portion of the exercise by blocking the arm holding the KB keeping it tight to the body. ... - Stepping on the band encourages you to push with your feet into the floor to activate the posterior chain from the bottom up, using the glutes to do the work and not the lower back. - The band does offer some extra resistance for the concentric phase but the point of using the band in this scenario is to provide feedback not a lot of resistance. There are safer ways to concentrically and eccentrically load the hip hinge pattern when form is solid, such as using more weight, thicker band, lift a car etc. #thetherapeutichouse #movewellmoveoften #instafit #bodyweighttraining #functionaltraining #fitnessmotivation #fitnesslifestyle #rehab #muscle #strong See more
