11am August 9 2019 ...City of Kawartha lakes. . Just had a Pesticide Pump truck at our Pond! Rolling up hoses and filling their truck. Spraying CLEARVIEW on all... side roads now. NO SIGNAGE as the operator said "We put a public notice in the paper"! It's POURING HEAVY RAIN and they have been spraying all morning! Sickening! NO signage on their Plain White Truck either...how devious and sneaky. The Swans were not amused... "As this product is not registered for the control of pests in aquatic systems, DO NOT use to control aquatic pests. DO NOT contaminate irrigation or drinking water supplies or aquatic habitats by cleaning of equipment or disposal of wastes." I've had ENOUGH....I don't mind trucks hauling for water but to haul water to spray HERBICIDE's on my Neighbors! They are spraying ALL THE SIDE ROADS....even in the RAIN!! I told them NOT to come back here...the one guy said..."We work for a Billion Dollar company! They are not hurting anyone, a Dog could eat the grass after we spray this stuff...its so safe!"....I told him to get an Education.!! "Avoid application when heavy rain is forecast".- Hay cut from treated grass, in the year of application, should only be used on-farm to feed livestock. The manure or compost from animals fed the treated hay should only be used on registered use sites!! (OMG!)
