So great to see these guys yesterday! My favorite personal trainer Jason Dennis (Summit Fitness) and his wife Julie (The Local Fill), along with Lydia and Preston came in for their cleanings. We entrepreneurs and small business owners need to stick together, and support each other now more than ever during these crazy COVID times. ... Thanks for coming to visit The Tooth Fairy, Dennis family!
Working early on a Saturday is so much better when Bauer the Great Dane puppy comes for a visit
Working on the road does have it's perks when you get to visit little guys like this Keep smiling folks, even if you can't see it behind the mask
This post has very little to do with dental hygiene, other than the fact that this young man is one of my longtime clients. The family came into the office today for their cleanings, and Dad proudly showed me this grad picture which I thought was simply amazing, so I asked if I could share it. Being a bit of a rebel myself, and known for going against the grain at times, I so respect what this fellow did...and yes, he really brought a calf to school for his grad pictures!! Th...is photo speaks volumes about being proud of your roots, and showing the world what you're passionate about. Congratulations on your graduation, Bruce...keep up the good work, and you'll achieve anything you put your mind to. Please just remember to brush and floss #ruralroots #farmlife #Imafarmgirlproud See more
We are very happy to be back at the office, and look forward to seeing all of our clients. Here are a few of the changes you'll be experiencing as we welcome you back to the practice. Please remain in your vehicle until we ask you to come in for your appointment. There are no chairs in the waiting room, and you will be seated immediately for your dental treatment after the pre treatment screening process. The public washroom is also not accessible at this time, so plan acco...rdingly. As you enter the office, please wear your mask until advised to remove it. There will be a hand sanitation area as you enter the office, and a mask will be provided if you don't have one. During the pre treatment screening, you will be asked a number of questions concerning exposure to COVID 19. You will have your temperature taken and recorded, and we are asking any clients who have tested positive or have symptoms currently to please postpone your appointment. DO NOT COME TO THE OFFICE! Before you start your treatment, you will be asked to do a pre treatment rince with a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution as recommended by the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. We are also limiting treatment to prevent aerosols as much as possible as per recommendations by our College. When you are finished with your treatment, we ask that you wash your hands, put your mask on, and leave promptly using physical distancing protocol. We are taking every possible precaution to eliminate the contact of clients while they are at the office by leaving blocks of time between client visits, and to allow adequate time to disinfect the office. We look forward to seeing all of you back, and getting your smiles healthy again. If you don't feel comfortable with the above protocol, we ask that you refrain from visiting us at this time. We need to keep everyone safe during this critical time, and our guidelines are to protect all of us. Thanks for your understanding, and we'll see you soon!
Office will be open next week!
The news is encouraging, but it will be a very gradual re introduction of dental services across Ontario. There is a very real shortage of recommended PPE, and these items need to be available before we can start treating clients again. I'm hopeful that by mid June things will be up and running in what will be the "New normal" for dental procedures. Keep an eye here for updates
Don't forget it's National Dental Hygienist Week. Stay healthy!
I miss you all!! Stay healthy...stay at home!
This just released by our governing body. Yesterday the RCDSO ( Governing body for dentists in Ontario) released a statement recommending that dental services be reduced to "Emergency treatment" only, and currently our College is following the RCDSO guidelines. Dental Hygienists are the highest ranked healthcare providers at risk for contracting this virus due to the aerosols we produce during cleanings, and the fact that we are in very close contact with our clients throughout their appointment. At this time, the office will be closing as per the College's direction, and we will reopen as soon as possible. We all need to do what we can to keep this virus from spreading, and to keep our elderly and medically compromised as safe as we can.
