Well, since the last revue Howlin’ Justin Million and Mess ‘o Beans Conway... have been slowly snakin’ their way, meanderin’, all the way from the Forselli Territory of The Garnet, in order to arrive to great fanfare, whisky, and to put down on a checkerboard floor stage for a short respite from the grind of the road. It’s been a long sojourn, but this FRIDAY THE 13th of APRIL at the bells of 8PM our boys will once again rise from their dusty road blankets, don their crudely-hewn instruments, shake the desert off, use a couple egg whites to slick back their hair, and attempt to entertain ye and yers a’fore departing once again. They’re bringin’ beans. They’re bringin’ ‘tude. If you miss this one, hope a rattler gets ye. *** ICYMI: Show and Tell Poetry Series has recently pivoted to doing events that attempt to bring a bit more animation, digital media, music, and poetry that’s actually fun to the poetry public. Chris plays music. Justin reads (and yells a lot of) poetry in a southern accent. Justin does weird, mostly text-based projections. We crank the smoke machine until your eyes bleed. We riff and improvise. We interact with ye audience varmints. We all go home richer for having heard and seen what we seen and heard. It’s an easy event to attend, so do it, before the thunder clouds break open overneath ye *** This is a PWYC event. We will pass the cowboy hat.
