What strange times these are. The Update Company, mostly staffed by people who are used to staring at screens all day, has felt the impacts - small and large - of this global pandemic. The one impact we notice the most on a daily basis? How much we miss everything we once took for granted. Shaking hands with clients. The crunch of gravel outside when a visitor pulls up. ... The pitter-patter of the children overhead. The poop emoji mug from Dark Side Chocolates. The mouthwatering breakfast cookies from Whole Glow Cafe. Overstaying our welcome at the The Wandering Moose Café. The freshest sandwiches from Tarbell's Deli. A warm meal at the The Waverley Hotel. A warm meal at Riders Pizza. A hot () meal at BiblioTaco. Walking around the block to clear our heads. Playing foosball to clear our heads. *Clear heads.* No matter how much longer this takes, one thing is for sure: we’re not going to take those things for granted anymore! Video calls, Google Suite and Jackbox are keeping us connected and busy with clients and each other, but we can’t wait to get back into our community.
