It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Barb Yanko. To many of us, she was Barbie or Barb!! When you came to the USSU, her smiling face was the first face you saw. Barb was a genuinely kind and happy person and truly cared for each student that walked through the door and would do everything she could to help them. Barb encapsulates everything the USSU strives to be. You will be deeply missed.

This week the USSU Women's Centre is celebrating Who Needs Feminism online. WNF highlights women's experiences and the importance of feminism in their everyday lives. The Women's Centre will be posting feminist related content and running contests on their Instagram @ussuwomenscentre throughout this week, so make sure you check it out.

The USSU Pride Centre is hosting Queerapalooza next week!

The University of Saskatchewan has a long-standing campus tradition of hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Memorial Gates to honour and reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans everywhere in defence of our freedom. In lieu of an in-person ceremony this year, we invite you to take some time to view these messages of remembrance and reflection from our university community leaders and read stories about the many USask faculty, staff, students and alumni who have served their country and the memorials that exist on campus to honour them.
