**ATTENTION PATIENTS** These next few weeks are absolutely critical for #flatteningthecurve in Ontario in our fight against COVID-19. We hope everyone is staying safe at home whenever possible. In order to maximize social distancing and to decrease foot traffic in the store as much as possible to protect the community and staff, there are a couple of alternative contact-less ways you can pick up or receive your prescriptions and/or over-the-counter items:... 1. FREE DELIVERY: Our current delivery days are TUESDAY and THURSDAY afternoons. No signature is required, but we must visually confirm the delivery was received, so someone must be at home. Our driver will leave your package at your front door and make sure it is received from a safe distance! 2. CURBSIDE PICKUP: Park in front of/near the pharmacy, give us a call, and we can run your prescriptions out to your vehicle so you dont have to enter the store. Convenient, fast, AND safe! Patients can call the pharmacy to arrange these services ahead of time and provide a credit card number over the phone so your prescriptions will be paid for and ready upon your arrival or upon delivery. We would also like to thank everyone who has been practicing social distancing while in the store, those who have picked up prescriptions for their grandparents and parents to keep them home safe, and everyone who has been supportive and caring during this time. Attention valued customers and patients: In light of the increasing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Ontario, we here at the Village Pharmacy would like to assure you that we will remain open and we are here to help during this confusing time. In order to protect our staff and customers, we urge you to please take note of the following recommendations: -If you are sick (especially with fever and/or cough, shortness of breath) or have travelled outside of Canada in the pas...t 14 days, we please ask that you DO NOT come into the pharmacy. Call us instead at 519-595-8300, and we can help you over the phone. -If you are sick and need medications, please arrange for a healthy family member or friend to pick them up for you, or call us about arranging free delivery. Ask your primary care provider to fax or call in any new prescriptions if possible. -Please refrain from stockpiling your medications or refilling medications early. We are currently experiencing many drug shortages unrelated to COVID-19, and we must continue to make sure that everyone has access to the medications they need. In addition to the above, here are some actions you can take to protect yourself and those around you at home and in public: -Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if you are unable to wash your hands -Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth -Cough and sneeze into your sleeve -Avoid non-essential travel -Limit physical contact with others and stay home if you are sick As always, it is important to stay up-to-date with current information from reliable resources such as Ontario Public Health and the Ministry of Health.
