Chemical vs. physical? There are two types of filtration systems when it comes to sun block. Chemical filters use an absorption system that allows harmful UV rays to absorb in to the skin, then converts them in to heat which the body can deal with from there. Physical filters sit topically on the skin, avoiding any internal chemical reactions.
