Why do you need an onboarding process? Whether it's for customers or team members, onboarding allows us to take people on a journey. A good onboarding process: makes people feel welcome provides access to key materials/tools establishes expectations... tells them about what's next streamlines efforts and offers a consistent way of doing things ensures that nothing is forgotten Do you have a well-established onboarding process? #onboarding, #clientonboarding, #teamonboarding

My #1distraction when working is email/social media. I manage this by blocking out short durations of time for specified tasks and ignoring all emails/social media during that time block. Also helps to keep the phone beyond arm's length . In between these time blocks, I can go back online if I choose but only until the next sprint. Sometimes things come up so it's not always possible to work like this. But it is a good way to maintain focus on essential to do's. How do you reduce distractions? Who here is guilty of multitasking? As an entrepreneur, we often have 101 things to do on any given day. This leaves us feeling scattered as we give little bits of energy to many different things. The result is little progress on the things that matter the most. What if we expended the SAME amount of energy on one essential thing at a time? The image on the left represents the accumulation of our scattered focus. The image on the right shows us how much we can accomplish by ...exerting the SAME amount of focused energy on one thing. So more focus = greater results. Before we spread ourselves too thin, let's stop and ask ourselves if we're spending time on the right things. And if we're not maybe we need to make a change (delegation or outsourcing). Reference: Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown #productivity, #essentialism, #entrepreneurship
