We have all been touched by the love, kindness, laughter, witt, charm, dedication, and beauty of this lovely women, Heather Connon. Our hearts are filled with grief and we are sad to say that Heather passed away yesterday. To her family, we are sending up our prayers of strength as you navigate through this horrible time. To her friends, we hope that you can find comfort in the memories you have created with her. We have all been touched by one of the loveliest people on earth and it was an honour having her in our lives. You will forever be in our hearts and minds Heather.

It is with heavy hearts and heavier tears that we announce the closing of our home away from home, The Walkerville Tavern. Unfortunately, our landlord has decided not to renew our lease. But, this doesn't mean the end for us! When life gives you lemons, The Tav takes those lemons, finds a new location, cuts them up, and serves them once again, with a smile, like we always have.... Our success was made possible by our team of dedicated and hardworking staff. They are the glue that has kept us together and will continue to be with us as we move forward. To our devoted customers and most especially our awesome regulars, thank you for your loyalty. You have become our family and we are truly grateful for each and every one of you. Lastly, and most importantly, we thank our loving and compassionate family for their continued support, guidance and humour. You have brought us joy and strength throughout the years and most especially, through these past few months and we could not imagine a world without you. This is not a "goodbye".
