I always get excited when I see our roster on paper this time of year." We continue our look at #WCBL teams and their recruiting efforts by taking a look at the Regina Red Sox roster to this point, as they have been busy announcing their roster since Christmas. Lots of old and new faces as the team looks to get back to the league finals.

We continue to highlight the recruiting efforts of our teams with another story on this Friday afternoon. Next up is the Brooks Bombers Baseball Club, who have brought in a new coach and are hoping to turn the corner in their drive for the playoffs. Oh, how we miss those sunny summer days!

#OTD in 2003: the WCBL meets to approve two new franchises with the Medicine Hat Mavericks and Calgary Dawgs (later Okotoks Dawgs Baseball). They would join Lethbridge Bulls Baseball Club as the Alberta contingent while there were seven Saskatchewan-based teams heading into the summer season.

We are starting to see some of our teams announce commitments for the 2021 season and we couldn’t be more excited! Among the teams making the most noise so far has been the expansion Sylvan Lake Gulls. Check out our story on who they are bringing to the fold!

In case you missed the news from the Swift Current 57's yesterday, they have named their new head coach and general manager. Congrats to Moose Jaw Miller Express and Regina Red Sox alum Kent Morrison on his new TV gig with CTV Edmonton!

He spent the 2016 season with the Edmonton Prospects Baseball Club and then the Okotoks Dawgs Baseball in 2017. Congrats to Kody Funderburk on being named to the Minnesota Twins Fall Instructional Camp roster!
