My 80 year mom fell and broke her wrist last week. While I don't admire her stubbornness (she refused to get it checked for 4 days!!!), I do however admire her strength and courage for allowing the doc to set her cast without sedation. She walked out of the hospital with a smile on her face and a sense of humor (not to mention she flirted with the doctor while she was at it too).
