Things From Wood

All done and shipped to my customer in Atlanta, GA.... Custom 9' Walnut Dinning Table, Side Hutch made from Elm & Maple and two Walnut Bar stools.

Just a reminder.. Things From Wood also does customs metal Fabrication. This was a fun, but challenging project... We make all or table bases but one of my existing customers asked me to make this custom metal french door for his office.. Turned out awesome! Big thanks to my son Nolan and my friend Coz for there help putting this together and installing it..... As usual, Danny Wray for his welding skills.

For a few years now my friends have been asking me when I was going to build a guitar because of all the woodwork I do... Inspired by my friend Joel who made one from some scrap Walnut I gave him I decided to get to it. I had a piece of worm riddled Maple laying around my shop that I kept because I figured one day I would make something cool from it. I decided to use it to build a custom Fender Stratocaster with a specific Neck, Pick-up set, Temolo and Tuning Pegs. Here are ...some pics of the finished guitar and the build process. The body is made from the wormy maple and has a Mahogany back.. I spend weeks by the way filling in all the worm holes with coloured epoxy.. The neck is a Fender 70's Red Maple with a 12" radius. The pick ups are Fender Tex-Mex Specials. The Tremolo is a Fender Modern 2 pin and the tuning pegs are Fender locking tuners. I had no clue how this was going to turn out, but in the end it plays and sound amazing!!!!!

A customer of mine in Milton has been renovating there home and I've done a lot of custom woodwork for them over the last year. Here is the latest... Capped the two original porch support post and added a third.. Really adds to the look of the front of the house.

All done and installed.... These river countertops really added to my customers new kitchen.

Good Friends of mine Dawn and Chris renovated there main floor bathroom and had a unique idea for the vanity.. I love it when I can help my customers make there vision a reality. I took Dawn up to my suppliers to pick out the wood and I got to work..

Something different from my normal projects... A pair of closet organizers for one of my existing customers kids rooms.

This was a great project... We where contracted to remove an old weathered unsafe tree house and build a new one. I haven't built one of these since I was a kid. Here are some before and after shots. Our customers son should get many years of enjoyment out of this!
