Always look for signs from Loved Ones. This Christmas Cactus has sat on my kitchen table for about 4 years. It hadn’t bloomed at all!! One February day in 2015 my Mother and Father-in-law suddenly showed up at the door very distraught, crying and not making any sense. We sat down at the kitchen table and I made tea. We come to find out they had the wrong type of life Insurance. In between all the crying and the frustration my Mother-in-law asked, If I get cremated, can yo...u spread me in your rose garden? I responded with a definite Yes, if that is what you want and wish. As we talked over tea, I asked her a question or more so a request. If you get to the other side, send me a sign that you are ok!. So I asked my Mother -in -law to make the Christmas Cactus bloom. Sadly she passed away unexpectedly 3 months later in May. As the months passed, Christmas came around once again. Nobody was paying any attention to the Cactus. Well that Christmas, the Cactus was in full bloom!! and I knew what it meant. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture My Father- in-law passed away 8 months later in February 2016. The Christmas that just passed was difficult not having them around, but once again the Christmas Cactus bloomed, this time with Two blooms.!! I know they are always around, happy and safe. See more
