Following all of the infection control guidelines that have guided our practice in 2020, we will be accepting patients by appointment only. If you have a question about our availability or to schedule an appointment with us, feel free to call us at 780-428-2331. We look forward to seeing your smiles, and we will be smiling back (behind our masks of course!)
Did you know that dentistry is older than Christmas? The history of dentistry can be traced back to 7000 BC in the Indus Valley. Researchers speculate that craftsmen used a drill made of flint heads to remove tooth enamel and rotting dental tissue. Evidence suggests that this procedure was surprisingly effective!
Do you find flossing difficult? Here’s a tip: floss comes waxed or unwaxed. Depending on how tightly your teeth fit together, the best floss for you will vary! Teeth that are very close together will appreciate waxed floss for being able to slip into tight spaces.
STOP. We recommend coming into see us twice a year for a cleaning! If you can’t remember the last time you stopped by, give us a call!
What a great review from a new patient! Thanks for trusting us with your care Stace!
When was your last checkup? Time to STOP and check in with yourself. If you can’t remember your last visit, it’s time to come say hi we don’t bite!
Cheese is one of the healthiest foods for your teeth. It lowers the acidity in your mouth by promoting saliva production and reducing your risk of cavities. It also contains calcium and phosphate, which can strengthen your enamel!
Dr. Jaimee aka Dr. Buchkowsky aka Dr. B is a dentist at ThirtyTwo Dental! Jaimee graduated from the U of A in 2009 and has worked here since 2012. Her favourite part of the job? The 32 team. A great group of ladies that Dr. Jaimee feel extremely blessed to work with every day. Being a dentist isn't always easy but knowing that you're affecting positive change in peoples' lives is very rewarding. Thanks Dr. B!
Have you tagged us in your Movember fundraising posts? We’ll donate to your Movember campaign! Go out there and raise awareness for men’s health. (Amount of donation will vary depending on how many tags we receive!)
Treat them right and they’ll be with you forever. #MotivationMonday
Thanks so much for the kind review, Miles. We love our patients!
Okay, we know you don’t wanna, but you really gotta! Irregular flossing can lead to bleeding and sensitive gums. Keep at it consistently and your gums will be happier than you can imagine! None of the red stuff! #FlossFriday
Thanks so much for the kind review, Miles. We love our patients! #YegDentist
We are asking all our patients to reschedule with us if they are showing any symptoms including fever, cough or tiredness. This has been a precaution we've taken since the start of the pandemic, but one that we need to be aware of now more than ever. We can all work together to keep each other safe. If you aren’t feeling well, take the self-assessment here: https://ca.thrive.health/covid19/en
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
This year has been stressful for many, and this holiday season we want to contribute to helping others as much as possible! This month, we will have a drop off box for Edmonton's Food Bank by our front office. Our goal this year is to donate 70 pounds of food to the Edmonton Food Bank! Items placed in the box will not be handled for at least 24 hours. Please consider helping a home with us this holiday season!
This December, we’re collecting donations for the Edmonton Food Bank. 2020 has been a difficult year for many and the Food Bank provides food for 20,000 people every month in our very own city. By partnering with this incredible organization, we can make a difference this holiday season!
That feeling when the dentist is examining your wisdom teeth.
Isabella, you’re a peach! We are so proud that we could make the experience positive for you.
Pam is known as the quiet one (next to Joyce) and she’s one of our wonderful receptionists! Pam’s been with us for seven years. She loves being downtown where we get to see a diverse mix of people from all walks of life. She took this boomerang for us so we could all see her beautiful smile! Thank you, Pam, for all you do!
