When the children have too much energy and it’s raining out....

These last couple of months have been such an interesting time. COVID 19 brought new rules to our daily life, but we learned. Life was simplified, our patience and appreciation for each other increased and we learned to love the little moments. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working for the families that have been here and it’s bittersweet preparing for things to change again as families start to come back and rebuilding begins. These have been some of our moments ........ Teddy bear pic Nic, morning snuggles and so many sunny days.

Everything these days seem to be coming in waves. Waves of fear, waves of anxiety and overwhelming waves of gratitude as I hear from families and receive words of encouragement and acts of kindness in these uncertain days full of questions that cannot be answered. As we try to meet the needs of our families and staff at the daycare we have decided to close the Infant Toddler room and the Out of School Care for an indefinite amount of time while we ride out the wave of COVID ...19. I will however still be providing care for a few essential services families that we all need in order to make it to to other side of this pandemic. What will become of all this, no one knows. But I do believe that it is important for us to stand strong and stand together and ride this wave out. So, you will find me here, in the waves. Some days being soaked and others soaking up the warm sun on my face. But I believe in the importance of being consistent and predictable for little people who do not and should not fear what is going on. And we will wait for it to settle. Together!

First snow day of the year...

The elves are busy at work right now, but just a reminder we will be closed December 24th -Jan 3rd
