Lets remember the Vikings organization is a volunteer organization. Lets take this culture from the New Zealand All Blacks and make it Vikings culture. After your team plays clean the changeroom for the next team. A postive experience happens when you enter a clean area and get ready for the game. Postive head space. We exit the field to start the game as a team clean the club as a team. ... Sweep the sheds Before leaving the dressing room at the end of the game, some of the most famous names in world rugby including Richie McCaw, Dan Carter and Mils Muliana stop and tidy up after themselves. They literally and figuratively 'sweep the shed.'

Members, we have need of an oxy acetelyn or arc welder for use in repairing our trailer. We have a welder willing to do the work but lack the welder. If you have, and can loan the welder to our volunteer please inform Richard Wheller at [email protected].

Weed Man Canada has been a great club sponsor in the past few years by providing what Thompson Rugby Park needs to maintain a healthy and lush field to be played on. They are now offering more incentives to Vikings Rugby Club memberships to help support the club.

Recovery work has begun to patch the field after a successful Scotty Stephenson Cup. Thanks everyone who participate in the event. A special acknowledgement to Gord Humphrey, his son and Jason Traviss who immediately worked on the field the morning after the event.

To All and sundry in the Viking family. To begin thanks to David Robinson for the use of his trailer for the past several months, it is invaluable to my work at the club. I had arranged for the repair/rebuild of our trailer, but this has fallen through. Is there anyone out there with the welding acumen to be able to rebuild this beauty. Of course the club will cover the cost of materials but the cost of labour to do the job would be significant. Please let me know ([email protected]) Also a big shout out to Landon Beacock of Landon's tree services, Landon has brought his truck with bucket on it to the club twice this spring to help with work on the uprights.
