As a reminder: We are closed for the holidays, returning Monday, January 4th. During this time, all of our staff will be spending time at home with our families. In the event of an emergency, if Dr. Jenn (204-307-0550 - her personal cell phone number) is not available, please call Bridgwater (Winnipeg) or the WCVM (Saskatoon) to make arrangements to have your pet seen. And as a personal comment from Dr. Jenn: Every day, we (my team and I) run the Thompson Veterinary Clinic ...because we love our jobs. There is no "obligation" or "requirement" for the provision of veterinary services in Thompson (during regular hours and in emergency, after hours scenarios). Instead, we CHOOSE to do what we do, every single day, because we love being a part of your pets' lives. We make every effort to help when possible. When we aren't available, you may need to travel with your pet. Further, we have a no tolerance policy when it comes to threatening remarks or harassment. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
As a reminder: We are closed December 19th - January 3rd for the holidays! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Recently, a post was made about garbage being seen outside of our side (receiving door). This garbage was scheduled to be removed, immediately after being placed in the bins. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, this did not happen, and was strewn about by ravens and passerby's. The garbage was covered, to the fullest extent possible, until it could be cleaned. I (Dr. Jenn) has since personally picked up every piece of waste for proper disposal (WDG/incineration). ...We regret that this happened, and have taken steps to make sure it will never happen again. We thank those who were courteous enough to contact us directly about the problem. When this happens, and we are informed, we can definitely take steps to rectify the situation. We hope everyone is keeping healthy and safe. We would also like to express the utmost in gratitude to those who shared this on social media. It definitely facilitated resolution of the problem.
As we honour those who have and continue to serve, the Thompson Veterinary Clinic will be closed November 11th-13th. We will re-open November 16th. If you are experiencing an emergency, you may try calling Dr. Jenn at 204-307-0550 or 204-679-0018. If our veterinarian is not available, please make arrangements to seek care for your pet at Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital (Winnipeg, 204-452-0911) or the WCVM (Saskatoon, 306-966-7126). Lest we forget.
