To all our clients. During the upcoming lockdown we will be open for regular appointments and our hours will remain the same. However, as per the government regulations, we cannot allow our human clients in the building. Some exceptions apply. Unfortunately due to the current situation with covid-19 and the uncertainty of how long these restrictions will last, I am canceling all remaining grooming appointments. At this time it is in my best interest considering my pregnancy and families health to not return to work. This was not an easy decision as I love absolutely every one of your fur babies and would have loved to enjoyed one more groom with them all. I wish all of you the best in the future and hope you will understand why I have had to make this decision. I will miss you and am so incredibly thankful for your support through the past few years! - Dallas

Coronavirus Update (Mar 19, 2020) To our valued Clients: Please see below for clinic updates.... Appointments: In clinic routine appointments are being delayed including: Annual exams Vaccinations (NOTE: this does not apply to puppies) We are still seeing pets that are sick, that need a booster, or for surgeries We are not accepting non-emergency walk-ins We ARE still accepting new clients ALL appointments that were made before Mar 19 will still be at their scheduled date & time Food & Medications: For medications including Flea/Tick/Heartworm and food, please call in advance to order and you can either pick it up at TVH or we can deliver it your home (within 30 minutes from TVH) Note: for home deliveries, a $5 delivery fee will be added to your invoice delivered daily between 3-5 pm. This little soul has been around our property for nearly a week. It seems friendly when talking to it and petting it through the trap. It may be someone's mis...sing baby or may have been dumped. Found near Bognor/Walter's Falls area. I have no car until hubby returns from work and hoping by then to have a plan for him/her. Can't bring into our home - our cats and dogs would go crazy. I will also contact our vet. See more

On Friday my worst nightmare happened, Smore escaped out her harness (with the gps) when we returned from our walk and took off into the wild. She has since be...en spotted at the farm and at two neighbors. When we spot her she runs again. We have set traps and are hoping she will go for the food in them. Please sent good thoughts and hope for her to be trapped and come back to us See more

***PLEASE, PLEASE SHARE*** Our absolutely amazing girl MINNIE has officially been with GTHS for 3 months as of tomorrow. This stunning 4 year old pup had spent... most of her 4 years living in shelters. Understandably, being in shelters most of her life, MINNIE hasn't had the chance to experience much of the world. When she first arrived at GTHS, MINNIE was truly scared of everyone and everything. But WOW have we ever seen a change in this dog over the last 3 months!!!! MINNIE is now very familiar with our Dog Team (which consists of quite a few people) and excitedly greets every single one of those people with a huge happy smile, wiggly bum and sooo many kisses!! MINNIE also has the most incredible leash manners and just floats beside you (seriously, she walks so well sometimes you have to look down just to make sure there's still a dog at the end of your leash!) She also loves, loves playing in the dog yard with her doggie boyfriends here at the shelter! MINNIE can still be a little nervous of new things and new people but it doesn't take long now for her to warm up and even give kisses to strangers! Over the past few weeks, every time one of our volunteers see her and she approaches wiggling her bum and ready to cover you in kisses, they say "I cannot believe this is the same dog!" And it's true!!! Our girl MINNIE has come such a long way in the 3 months she's been with us and now it's time for her to find the wonderful, patient and loving home this this sweet girl SO deserves. So please, help us find MINNIE her forever family and share this post!!!! To learn more about MINNIE, please contact Courtney at 705-445-5204 ext 229 or email [email protected] You can also read more about MINNIE on our website: https://www.gths.ca/animals-for-adoption/

UPDATE 9 September: Grace came home safe and sound!!! Thank you to ALL OF YOU who have been spreading the word and keeping her in your thoughts!! Much apprec...iated! xx 7 September. Our girl, Grace, is missing. The two dogs took off last night and although Harrison returned home this morning, very dirty, there is so far no sign of Grace. Local friends, please keep your eyes out for her... Medium size, about 60 pounds, and wearing a red fabric collar with dog tag that has her name and my number. Has a full tail, just cant see it in this recent photo. She is spayed and microchipped. Went from our property at Epping in Grey Highlands, Ontario. Tel. 705-888-7836. Thank you! See more
