FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NOVEMBER 27, 2020 Statement from the Executive of Thornhill PC Association in response to the recent announcement of Gila Martow, MPP, in seeking federal nomination:... Recently Gila Martow, our MPP for Thornhill, announced her intention to become the Conservative Party of Canada's nominated candidate for Thornhill in the next federal election. The Executive for Thornhill PC maintains their strong working relationship with Ms. Martow, and will continue to work with her while she remains an elected member of the Provincial Legislature. As the time for transition approaches we also look forward to Ms Martow's support in the nomination process and the 2022 provincial election. We assert our continued dedication to our riding and the Conservative Party of Ontario. When the time for provincial nomination occurs, members of our executive will endeavour to work with the Provincial Nomination Committee to ensure an appropriate nomination election takes place. Thornhill, an historically strong Progressive Conservative riding, is also dedicated to the selection of a candidate that projects the core values of our party whilst keeping Thornhill's best interest in mind.
