We have had a lot of questions lately about the COVID-19 vaccine. Here’s some great information from our colleagues at the University of Waterloo that helps dispel some of the myths surrounding the vaccine.

If you are between the ages of 65 and 70 the government has begun funding the shingles vaccine, Shingrix. Prior to this they only funded the older vaccine, Zostavax. This means that you can now receive the vaccine free of charge.

Please call the pharmacy if you would like to receive your flu shot. We are doing our best to accommodate everyone; appointments are being scheduled to keep staff and patients safe.

While we always recommend the flu vaccine, this year it is especially important to receive it. We will be letting everyone know once we have vaccine stock and are able to begin immunizing and what the process will look like for this year. We will do our absolute best to accommodate everyone.
