The best things in life happen unexpectedly! Ok.. and maybe a bit of planning. But for the most part the best things in life happen unplanned! Let me share my story with you. A lot of you have been asking about my second location. How did I plan this? How did it happen so quickly? How did I lock down West Ed? And MORE! I am so happy to share with you that I am opening a 2nd studio in West Edmonton Mall at FX INC. THIS WEEK! If you asked me a couple months ago where I w...ould be in the future I probably mentioned opening the skin bar for now and then reevaluate in the new year. Then one day things quickly changed for the better! I walked into West Edmonton Mall . I was there for a fitting for my glasses from @baileynelsonca. By the way - thank you so much @baileynelsonca for keeping my eyes in check! As I was walking there, I passed this bright and beautiful looking Tattoo and Piercing shop. I was so drawn to this shop. Everything about it... Something inside of me told me you HAVE to go. BUT WHY? I don’t need a tattoo or piercing. Ah.. what the heck, I’ll get my septum pierced. I thought about it many times before but have never taken the plunge. I’m an anxious person, but for some reason I was so calm and walking by there. I agreed to myself that Iwould go if they had an opening. Sure enough they did! The owner of the shop pierced me. He was very kind, approachable, educational and professional. The shop was very clean and all staff were nice! I was impressed. He then starting talking to me asking about my Micropigmentation freckles. Asking about the artist who did them... that would be me sir! Really?! Yes.. then I explained the whole story of Thrive Beauty Co. and how I’m a nurse who also does semi permanent makeup. I was offered a job on the spot! After much thought, planning, working and negotiating - I took the opportunity! This is now my third home - @fx_inc_ (@sundaysinc being my second). I’m happy to work with George, the shop owner and now a coworker that pierced me! An opportunity that felt so right. @official_wem was a big part of my childhood and I’m super excited to make it part of my adulthood! #followyourgut
