The 2020 Bayfront Blues Festival has been rescheduled for August 13-15, 2021. The global pandemic has been particularly devastating to the music, festival, and... event industries. They have been thoroughly impacted by this virus and have come to a complete standstill. Once these businesses cautiously start to reopen, they will be operating at an extremely scaled back capacity. Tours will become financially unfeasible. Bands are hesitant to travel, especially our older blues artists who are more susceptible and concerned for their well being. The safety of our festival community, musicians and staff is absolutely our top priority. Furthermore, sponsors have had to rethink their involvement based on budget cuts and vendors have had to make the difficult decision not to participate in events with large gatherings. This crisis has impacted every aspect of producing and presenting festivals and outdoor events. Moving forward, we will be suspending all ticket and VIP cash refund requests until June 1, 2021. After this date you will have until July 31, 2021 to decide if you want to use them, exchange them for the 2022 event, or request a refund check. A special form will be available on the website for exchanges or refunds at that time. Refund requests that we had already received in our office by Saturday, May 23 will still be honoured and checks mailed on June 15. Of course, all ticket packages and VIP passes purchased in advance will be honoured in 2021. Simply hold on to your 2020 tickets and use them at the postponed event with no other charges or price increases applied! In addition, ticket sales will be suspended effective immediately and will not resume until September for the rescheduled date. Due to the damage already done, there will be a price increase on tickets and VIP packages for the postponed festival and future festivals going forward. We estimate that the cost of tickets will go up by at least 50% in order to sustain a quality event and move the Bayfront Blues Festival into the future. Once again, all tickets and VIP packages previously purchased will absolutely be honoured for the rescheduled festival. For events such as ours to continue, we respectfully ask for your support and understanding through this extraordinarily difficult time. We cannot thank all of you enough for being a part of our blues family for over thirty years. Simply put, we could not do it without you. We are extremely grateful for your continued loyalty and overwhelmingly appreciate your understanding. We are all in this together thank you so very much and we look forward to seeing you in 2021! Sincerely, Bayfront Blues Festival
