Things seem to be changing day by day...and we're changing with them! With the new stay at home order in effect, we will be staying home and staying safe along with the rest of our community. While new live streaming performances will be placed on hold, we are pleased to be able to share some previously recorded concerts from earlier in the season. As well, over the past several months, we have been creating additional recorded projects that we will share via our website a...nd social media. We will continue to create as much musical content as these new guidelines will allow in order to provide the community with high-caliber entertainment. Recorded performances and projects will still be available on our website regularly for the duration of the stay at home order for people to enjoy. For more information please visit www.tbso.ca

In response to the increasing COVID-19 case numbers in the Thunder Bay region, the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra will be transitioning the remainder of their 2020 concerts scheduled for December 3, 4, 17 & 18 to perform for digital audiences only. While we planned these in-person events with strict adherence to regulations from Thunder Bay’s public health authorities, out of concern for the health and wellbeing of our community, we will be asking our audience to join us from... home for the time being. The safety of our community is of utmost importance at all times, and particularly now. We want to have the opportunity to perform in person again in the near future, so we recognize the current need for increased caution. We have had a wonderfully successful fall series, selling out every performance. We are grateful to have been able to connect with our audiences in person and look forward to engaging with people in new and innovative ways as we move forward with the hope of seeing you in person again soon. While the music will not play for in-person audiences, it will continue. The TBSO will be streaming concerts online out of respect for the health of our friends, neighbours, and patrons. We hope you’ll be able to join us on December 4th and 18th at 6:30 and 8:30 each night at tbso.ca. If you have already purchased tickets for one of the December concerts you have the option to donate your tickets back to the TBSO and receive a charitable tax receipt, or request a refund. On behalf of all of us at the TBSO we wish you good health in these coming weeks and look forward to sharing music live with you again in the new year!
