Congrats to Leslie Orr on the purchase of this beautiful gentleman, who she has named Maximus. This boy is special to us as we stood his sire Piper, and I was lucky enough to develop him as a dressage horse several years ago. Max has the same amazing brain so it’s really no surprise that he found his perfect human without us actively trying to sell him. We are so excited to see what these two accomplish together!

It’s baby hour in arena two. Here’s project horses Georgia freshly backed with amateur rider Leah Zommers on board, and Linus SR ready to go! I love this time in their training; they are so impressionable and quick learning.

What did I do today? Collected this little doll from Kingston. She’s a 4 year old appy Friesian cross and she’ll blend in nicely with our spotties.

Baby Audi at 2.5 is just starting to look a bit like a horse, and a little less like an awkward baby. He already sticks at almost 16.2, sting tests to at least 17h and with these huge joints we hope he will be an exciting stallion prospect that should add height. He has also heard that breed standard is to make yourself as dirty as possible during turn out and is perfecting that skill.

Cold snap at the barn and this is the only positive; foals in cute outfits!

We had an amazing day for our welcome hack and a beautiful first weekend of lessons at our new home. We are slowly catching up on things and trying to get back to everyone who has inquired. Yes, we are taking on a select number of new clients, so please do not hesitate to reach out again if we have not gotten back to you yet. It’s been wild trying to move everything but we are in catch up mode!

Some horses require different approaches. Ike was a bit nervous in his first few rides; we had a lot of ice falling off the roofs creating scary noises, plus we just moved farms from where he grew up. As he was a bit insecure we decided to get him some moral support from Grandpa Vinny. He loved it! Pairs dressage anyone?

Project horse, Palazzo, is all settled in at our new home and getting down to work.
